Manchester City rising star Ruben Dias snitches a 32-year streak in FWA footballer of the year. Manchester City defender Ruben Dias has been named the FWA Footballer of the Year for 2021, turning into the first defender to land that prize considering former Liverpool star Steve Nicol in 1989.
The 24-year-old Portuguese was bought by Manchester City on Sep 29, 2020, from Benfica for a transfer fee of $74.80m. He now has a market value of $77.00m.
