As TV3 has learned, Laporta asked the Dutchman for 15 more days of extension to move forward and try to complete negotiations already open with other coaches. Only in the event that these contacts did not end in agreement, Koeman would continue as coach curler.
Despite the image of cordiality that the two bands wanted to convey, Koeman -who was accompanied by his representative, Rob Jansen- came out with the feeling that with this strategy the club is just looking to gain time and feel treated like a second course. A way of doing things, he believes, that has little to do with his historical career at the club.

From the sports area, it is committed to the continuity of Koeman. Signings recommended especially by the Wembley hero, such as that of Georginio Wijnaldum, are being negotiated. Without going any further, this Tuesday morning, Laporta himself -accompanied by Mateu Alemany and Rafa Yuste- also met with the representative and the lawyer of the hitherto Liverpool player.
So, after a season as intense as turbulent, Koeman goes on vacation without knowing what his immediate future will be, but with a one-year contract yet to be fulfilled.
